We are thrilled to announce Coes Ipswich as the sponsor of our upcoming Christmas show, an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s timeless classic, Treasure Island.
Coes is one of Ipswich’s finest independent retailers, and a third generation family business. William Coe said of the news:
“We have supported Red Rose Chain for a number of years and have always been impressed with the quality and variety of the productions and how classic pieces have been interpreted and produced with a very appealing, modern angle. We are delighted to be able to sponsor this year’s Christmas production and to help support such a wonderful and inspirational team.”
Red Rose Chain’s Artistic Director Joanna Carrick added: “ We are so excited that Coes are sponsoring our Christmas show! It’s a wonderful shop with a massive emphasis on customer service. Every time you shop there they make you feel special. Both our companies have a family feel and an individual approach and we’re looking forward to a lovely Christmas in partnership.”
Red Rose Chain is perhaps most well-known for staging the region’s largest outdoor theatre event – Theatre in the Forest, we specialise in making theatre accessible to all and this Christmas we will wow you with another “magical family alternative to panto” (The Stage).
Treasure Island will be the culmination of a jam-packed Autumn/Winter season for us, following on from their “terrific Tempest” **** (Libby Purves, Daily Mail) at Jimmy’s Farm.
In the next few weeks, expect a hugely diverse range of events taking place at our beautiful studio theatre, The Avenue in Ipswich, including the launch of our latest multi-sensory play for young people with complex or multiple disabilities, 1001 Fireflies, and a ghostly promenade experience around our Grade II* listed building Gippeswyk Hall for Halloween, based on the infamous myth of The White Lady!
